Yes, Jesus is the TRUTH, But What Does That Mean Exactly?

Knowing "Truth" today might be the most critical thing you can attain in this life and the one to come. Everything, including your eternity, hinges on knowing the truth.

"Truth" in the Bible is described and defined as many things, with some descriptions extremely concrete and tangible, while others are more conceptual, symbolic, and mysterious. The actual definition of the Biblical term "Truth" is so immense and incomprehensible you might say that "Truth" is capable of creating the universe and everything in it!

John 14:6 - "Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me."

The main description of the Biblical term "Truth" describes a person, which is Jesus of Nazareth. This description encompasses and covers all other "truths" about the word "Truth."

Ephesians 4:21 - "if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,"

According to the Bible, Jesus is the "Truth."

John 1:12-14 - "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of Grace and TRUTH."

Truth is Love, the Love of God Toward Mankind!

Jesus is described by Believers in the Bible as "God," as the "Word of God," and as the "Truth" of God." Many do not understand "Truth" because they don't understand Love.

â??â??2 John 1:3 - "Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love."

But there's no doubt, Jesus the person, Jesus the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity, is referred to clearly as THE "Truth." Jesus is the Love of God poured out to all who will receive Him.

John 18:37 - "Therefore Pilate said to Him, "So You are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."

The Bible declares Jesus came to earth through Grace to deliver Mercy, and He gave eternal life to all who believe that He is the Christ, the Savior of the World. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and establish the absolute goodness of God in love.

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."Yes, Jesus is the TRUTH, But What Does That Mean Exactly? Knowing

Jesus is the whole "Truth" and nothing but the "Truth," and ONLY the "Truth" is in Him. The "Truth" is eternal life, the supernatural life in Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:16 - "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ."

Jesus, growing up as a boy and as a teenager and as a young man, only had the VOICE OF GOD in His mind and heart. He had the mind and thoughts of God as His only thoughts! He only had the "Truth"; no lie ever entered His mind.

1 John 3:5 - "You know that He appeared in order to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin."

Until the end of His life on Earth, Jesus never had a temptation from the devil or the world, and never entertained a single thought of doubt or unbelief. Can you imagine?

John 12:49 - "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak."

The only time satan was allowed to tempt Jesus was right before Jesus began His earthly ministry. Jesus was baptized by John and came out of the River Jordan and was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 4:1 - "Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil."

When satan finally had his chance to tempt Jesus, Jesus flat rejected him and presented THE TRUTH instead. Satan comes to everyone to tempt them, and without the mind of Christ, we can't on our own fend off satan's lure. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and so that we could have life and life abundantly. But to the unbelieving, they are blind because they have no "Truth" in them.

2 Corinthians 4:4 - "in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

Jesus NEVER considered a single thought of doubt or unbelief - NEVER. He wants to give us HIS MIND, the MIND OF CHRIST so that we too can overcome ALL doubt and ALL unbelief.

2 Corinthians 5:21 - "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

He's done it all for us, and we only need to believe that He is TRUTH. Now, that's love!

Ephesians 4:15 - "but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ," as everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."

Jesus is described as the Son of God and the Word of God and He is also described as THE TRUTH, the only way to the Father.

John 14:6 - "Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me."

God is "Truth," so it would make sense that Jesus is the "Truth" because Jesus is the Son of God.

John 8:31-32 - "So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

In the Bible, the word "Truth" is also described as a place, a location, and even the best destination one could ever imagine and then some!

But for our purposes here, we will limit our description of "Truth" as being Jesus. Besides being "Truth," Jesus is the risen Christ. "Truth" and Jesus are interchangeable, but Jesus is more than truth.

Philippians 4:7 - "And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

"Truth" is also teamed up with the Grace of God to reveal the Word of God, which is the heart of God or His plan for mankind. Jesus is His only plan. There's nothing more powerful and beautiful and capable than Grace with "Truth".

2 Corinthians 11:3 - "But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ."

"Truth" directs and upholds the cosmos as well as the governments of men." Truth" will help judge the wicked, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, "Truth" is the only way to God.

John 1:14,17 - "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of Grace and truth... For the Law was given through Moses; Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
