THE PROMISE: IF YOU PUT GOD FIRST, YOU’LL MAKE BETTER DECISIONS

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you." Matthew 6:33 HCSB

Your life is a series of choices. From the instant you wake up in the morning until the moment you nod off to sleep at night, you make countless decisions—decisions about the things you do, decisions about the words you speak, and decisions about the way you choose to direct your thoughts.

As a woman who has been transformed by the love of Jesus, you have every reason to make wise choices. But sometimes, when life chews you up and spits you out, you may make choices that betray your relationship with God.

Choosing hate betrays your relationship with God. Gossiping about others betrays your relationship with God. Disrespecting your body or your mind betrays your relationship with God.

So, as you pause to consider the kind of Christian you are—and the kind of Christian you want to become—ask yourself whether you’re sitting on the fence or standing in the light. The choice is yours…and so are the consequences.

“When you get stuck in the what-if, what-if, what-if...interrupt it with this: 5-4-3-2-1. And then go, ‘What if it all works out?’ What if this turns out to be one of the hardest things I do, but the best decision I ever made. What placing a bet on myself was the moment my life changed.

"What if it all works out? Because you can’t argue with that.” - Mel Robbins

Our Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, You are God. I am not. Your name is Holy. I have many choices to make. Help me choose wisely as I follow in the footsteps of Your only begotten Son. Amen.
