RADICAL GENEROSITY: Absolute Confidence in God’s “Great Grace”

What is Required of believers, followers of Christ? To be Followers of Jesus Christ, to be the image of God, and to shine forth His goodness by becoming like Him, living in His likeness.

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." Matthew 16:24

I can’t do that. You can’t do that. No one can do that. It requires God’s Grace to live in the likeness of God. By the Grace of God, we can do all things.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

Great Grace happens. Great Grace happens when ordinary people are EMPOWERED by God’s Grace to do extraordinary things they otherwise CANNOT DO.

"And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them. And with GREAT POWER the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and ABUNDANT GRACE was upon them all. For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales and lay them at the apostles’ feet, and they would be distributed to each as any had need." Acts 4:32-35

To give is to grow in Grace. To grow in Grace, we are to give generously. To grow in Great Grace requires Great Faith, which is RADICAL GENEROSITY.

Grace is a free gift of God to motivate and empower us to live like Him in RADICAL GENEROSITY. Grace empowers our hearts, our minds, and our imaginations. Remember the two loaves and 5 fishes?

"And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He blessed the food and broke the loaves and He kept giving them to the disciples to set before them; and He divided up the two fish among them all." Mark 6:41

To grow, we are to grow in Grace. To grow in Grace, we deny ourselves and GIVE in RADICAL GENEROSITY. RADICAL GENEROSITY is a reflection of God.

"Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Genesis 1:26

RADICAL GENEROSITY is a gift of God, and He wants us to share it in the same way we received it. Through Grace, God gives us the desire to live a life of radical giving, He gives us the pleasure of giving to others even when we face impossible odds, like lack, poverty, and persecution.

"God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 1:27

Grace happens to us; it's a gift we receive directly from God. Grace happens to us because God is so good. God’s RADICAL GENEROSITY flowing through us produces Joy, Peace, and more Faith.

"but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin." 1 John 1:7

We are Imagers of God, made in His image and His likeness, which is love. God is unifying us in love to create a culture of RADICAL GENEROSITY.

As imagers of God and empowered by His Grace, we must TRUST and reflect HIS IMAGE through radical generosity.

"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

RADICAL GENEROSITY is to be like Christ, to abide in Him, living and walking this earth as His new Creation, as Children of God, shining His light of Glory. That’s our job.

"for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light" Ephesians 5:8
